  1. Ah, so that's where all the sunshine went! Sunny days and sunny smiles - I couldn't make it this year, but hopefully next...

  2. Chris, it was sunshine all the way on the drive up on Thursday, and sunshine all the way on the drive back yesterday. And now in Penrith it's raining! Looking at all those broad smiles in Liz Fenwick's photos of Sunday afternoon's morris dancing (on Twitter), I now wish I'd booked for that and stayed Sunday night. And I missed Pia's talk on using family history as background. Kicking myself!

  4. 'twas good to meet you too Jane. Our kitchen was a bit noisy wasn't it? Raucous is the word I'd use. I think they must have heard us howling with laughter in Carlisle.

  5. I still haven't found out what a merkin is in Danish. Not really something I can ask my parents....

Not have I got to the bottom of who sang in the shower at the top of her voice at 5.30 on Saturday morning. I was most put out :-(

  6. Wouldn't have been me Henri, not the way my shower was behaving. I did squawk when it went from freezing cold to scalding hot in about ten seconds flat. It then cut out completely, went into a sulk and refused to come back on again. I wasn't singing, I was swearing, but very, very quietly.
